Mattie is now ranked 5th in the world of Streetbike
Freestyle Riding. Mattie recently signed up with
Suzuki GB, who have provided him with his brand new
Suzuki GSR 600. Mattie Griffin secured this deal after
his performance on the new Suzuki Bandit 1250 at the
TT 2007 Suzuki Sunday event, where he amazed the
crowd with his freestyle riding skills.

Mattie is scheduled to perform at the rounds of the British
Superbike on race day and many other events
throughout the year.

In the Beginning...

Mattie Griffin is Irelands No. 1 motorcycle stunt riding champion. Mattie has been riding bikes since a very young age, in particular trial bikes and motocross bikes. In 2004 Mattie decided to try his hand at motorcycle stunt riding. He built his first stunt bike from a 98 Honda CBR Fire Blade.

Mattie entered his first competition in that year at Athboy Go Kart Track in the Midlands. He finished first place from there he decided to enter the World Stunt Riding Championships in Bechyne in Czech Republic in June 2004, he came in 14th place out of the World's top 50 riders. After this competition Mattie built a new stuntbike from a 01 Honda CBR 929 Fire Blade.

With that bike he went on to numerous show's such as The Entertainment on the Prom at the world famous Isle of Mann TT in 2005,2006. The RDS Motorcycle Show in Dublin 2005,2007. The Ulster Grand Prix 2005,2006 and many more car/ truck/motorcycle etc. events throughout Europe.

In December of 2006 Mattie finished building his newest Stunt Bike a KAWASAKI ZX636, since then Mattie has been practicing and training hard for the biggest motorcycling event this year, where he will compete against the worlds top 6 motorcycle stunt riders at the Isle of Mann TT 2007 for their 100 Anniversary.

Mattie then went on to compete in the European street bike motorcycle freestyle championships in Amsterdam Holland in late 2007 where he came in 7th place out of 59 entrys, from the best stunt riders from around the world.
